Had the pleasure of spending my Saturday afternoon with Ismo “Ipa” Mäenpää and Tuija Mäenpää at the garage of Rapamäki Racing. This team has a really awesome dragbike under construction ready for the coming season. Last year they probably appeared the world’s only Nitro Twin bike with 3 valves heads - 2 exhaust valves and one inlet valve. It isn't overhead cams engine. There’re short 2 inch long pushrods and cams in the heads. They were designed and made by Jaska Salakari. Big thanks to Sonic Tools Racing who made some of engine parts and all other superb machine works, too. And now, the entire bike is rebuilt. The new frame was made by Mats Åstedt but all the carbon fiber parts were made by themselves, Rapamäki Racing, and they did a hell of job!
